26th January - Total Profit - £195

Monday and not much sport on, tennis and Murray was about to lose, cricket and Aussies about to lose, horse racing and I would lose so when I eventually entered in to a trade it was tried and tested football.

A live stream a few seconds behind the actual match and it was between Ethnikos Piraeus v Kerkira... yeah my thoughts too, one side in blue was better than the side in white but couldn't get past the defence. The white side didnt look dangerous on the attacking front and it was quite late in the 2nd half that one side did score and it was the underdog who scored, by the time they had scored I had packed up on the game, happy with the profits and not wanting to risk it at too low odds in the last 4 or 5 minutes of the match. A profit of £26 and well done to the Greeks for playing a match on tv whilst the world was devoid of such games.

And not to be out done Setanta put on a rip snorter of a game Burton v Barrow - lack lustre first half with no side looking capable of scoring, I traded up to about 5 minutes before the first half ended - the odds were getting way too short and no value - one thing I had noticed or researching as it were was trades around the half way mark and seeing whether I can predict where the market is going to settle and trade accordingly. It looks fairly good for trades and will take note again when the opportunities arise. Anyway with about 30 seconds of the first half left to play I placed a bet on the draw and then during half time layed for a two tick profit before the 2nd half started. I didnt watch the first 5 or so minutes of the first half as I thought that Burton would win the match and will try extra hard for the first few minutes - Burton won the match and are 17 points clear with 16 matches left to play in the 5th division of England. Any how Burton did score within the first few minutes and then started trading at 1.15 to 1.13 with 35 to 40 minutes of the game left to play, I would want to have an open bet on the favourites but the odds are just not worth the risk and that ended the trading for the night. Burton went on to score again and presumably the price plummeted and surprisingly Barrow got a goal back and the final score remained 2-1.
